The Stratacomm internship program is designed for individuals considering a career in strategic communications.  Interns are provided a real-life professional experience in which they can learn about public relations, public affairs and marketing  and gain hands-on knowledge of the latest  skills and tools.  Interns typically provide support on multiple client accounts in various capacities.

Through the course of the internship, the intern will be expected to develop the following skills and knowledge:

• Demonstrate professional organizational skills
• Demonstrate basic oral, social media and computer/internet skills
• Demonstrate attention to detail
• Complete assignments, meet deadlines and learn how to prioritize projects/assignments
• Possess basic media relations and social media skills – create media lists, conduct research, track media, and help with events
• Understand fundamentals of agency operations and client business

• We look for interns all year long and generally are offered on a semester basis and during the summer
• We have two offices – Washington, DC & Troy, Michigan
• Deadlines for submissions vary per office 
• Hours for an internship vary per office
• Our internships are paid and will work with students to arrange  academic credit where appropriate
• We have hired employees directly from our internship program, however these opportunities depend on many variables and is not to be expected
• Internship length can be no more than 6 months
