Video Services
Lights, Camera, Results
Sometimes the best way to tell a story is to show it. A narrative experience with compelling visuals can effectively inspire and motivate your target audiences, especially when they can see the faces and hear the voices of those most affected by your issues.
And video isn’t just for TV anymore. Online video, whether it’s on YouTube, a video podcast, or easily embedded in your own website or blog, not only shows up in search engine results but is also very easily passed around from friend to friend – but only if it’s a good story.
More good news: thanks to continued innovations in HD videocams and desktop video editing, video production is more cost-effective than ever. However, that doesn’t mean that any kid with iMovie and a cheap videocam can create a piece of video that will capture the imagination or your audience.
In addition to having full-service editing and animation production facilities in-house, Stratacomm has a stable of world-class, industry-tested video producers, editors and writers with backgrounds ranging from MTV and VH1 to ABC News and Oprah. No matter who your audience is, we can visually tell your story in a way that engages, informs and inspires them.

Union Station 100th Anniversary (Client: Amtrak)
This Telly Award-winning video, commissioned by Amtrak, was shown at a black-tie event celebrating the 100th anniversary of Washington, DC’s Union Station. Note the “Ken Burns” style of animating still images (first seen at 1:05) and some 3D effects (seen at 1:42), creating an engaging sense of movement while preserving the “old-timey” feel of the photos themselves.
smart USA Media Tour (Client: smart USA)
This video shows our advanced animation capabilities, the ability to make dull screen grabs (website images, magazine pages) come to life, and also happens to detail our success in earning national media for our client, smart USA, as they introduced their smart fortwo car to the U.S. market.
Solar Decathlon Virtual Tours: Arizona House (Client: U.S. Department of Energy)
To help promote DOE’s 2009 Solar Decathlon, we shot a hi-def virtual tour for each of the 20 student-built solar houses entered in the contest, allowing the student designers and builders to educate an international audience about the green technologies used inside and outside of their houses. All 20 videos may be accessed through an interactive map of the Solar Decathlon, which was also developed and built by Stratacomm.
Libby, Montana Wood Stove Changeout (Client: Hearth Patio & Barbecue Association)
This video tells the story of a dramatic cleaning of the air in Libby, Montana after a pilot Environmental Protection Agency program created incentives for residents to upgrade their standard wood-burning stoves and fireplaces to cleaner, more efficient burning systems.
