Communicating Clear, Concise and Compelling Healthcare Messages
CHALLENGE
Altarum, a nonprofit healthcare organization, was streamlining its focus toward a singular mission of health and healthcare issues. Altarum handles complex issues – improving systems that deliver healthcare by integrating research, technology and objective analysis – and the general media sometimes had difficulty understanding all of the organization’s complex subject matter.
STRATEGIC APPROACH
Stratacomm worked with Altarum to define a message platform that was clear and concise. Then, we leveraged our relationships with key national and trade media to arrange a roundtable discussion to introduce the new Altarum to target audiences, and position the organization and its subject matter experts as future spokespeople. Finally, to build relationships in key regions important to the organization, we coordinated face-to-face visits with strategically chosen media outlets.
RESULTS
When we launched the newly-focused Altarum, a front page local newspaper headline proclaimed “This time …. Altarum Gets in Right.” Over the course of our relationship with Altarum, we arranged interviews and meetings with many top tier media outlets, including The Washington Post, NPR, National Journal, Managed Health Care News and many others. Our roundtable and local meetings garnered participation from local print reporters and solidified a strong relationship with media in Altarum’s home city.
